The EW&CG Review Process

When a potential Medicolegal Case is sent to our office for review, it is assigned to a Professional Reviewer knowledgeable in the area of interest.

Each Case is organized as to the chronology of events, missing information is noted, and the information is then displayed in an easily understandable flow chart from which viable Medical Opinions and Scientific Defenses are easily generated and analyzed.

Initially, this information is discussed verbally with the Attorney and followed up, when appropriate, with a clearly written formal report. If a decision is made to proceed with or defend the Case, a Board Certified Expert (or Experts) in the specialty of interest will be chosen from our Panel of Physicians and Scientists.

Board Certified Expert Witnesses are available in all Medical Specialties and Subspecialties.

Fee schedules for each Medical Expert will be provided and clearly discussed with the Attorney prior to engaging the Expert and forwarding of all Medical Records and Opinions. Engagement letters will be utilized when necessary.

To minimize costs, we organize the Medical Records, flagging important parts of the record for the Expert's review. We forward our chronology, flow chart, opinion and defense theories to the Expert(s).

He/she is then adequately prepared to: Review All Medical Records, Execute Affidavits, Prepare an Oral and/or Written Report and be available for Depositions and to Testify in Court in support of his/her findings.
